So, continuing my scarlet run, Yeller (Peliper) fumbled the champion fight so incredibly hard by missing a hydro pump on Geeta's Glimmora and causing Rubber (Orthworm) to faint trying to clean up her mess. Luckily Rubber still loved me enough to take out nearly three of Nemona's Pokemon and surviving on 1hp against her Orthworm. Unfortunately here is where I got greedy.

I did not want Rubber to die twice in a row and predicting another body press I switched in StarChaser (Gardevoir.) The Orthworm did not go for body press. It used iron tail. StarChaser survives on 1hp and takes out the Orthworm. I decided to keep him in as he'd die to stelth rocks anyway and I needed him to kill the oncoming Goodra and Quacqaval. Goodra survives a moon blast and kills StarChaser. StarChaser was the only Pokemon on my team who could do super effective damage to water types. My only healthy pokemon at this point are Yeller and Smokey (Tyranatar) I elect to send in Smokey as he is the strongest attacker on the team. I first send in Yeller to use tailwind to give Smokey a chance to outspeed and Yeller is sent to below half health with an aqua step. Yeller will not survive again but I can set off one hurricane (know I outspeed thanks to tailwind) before she dies. Yeller deals over half (no OHKO thanks to tera water)

And then doges the next aqua step.

I did not need to send out Smokey that entire battle.

Cute: self-explanatory. excessive roundness, smallness, pinkness etc. Most baby pokemon exhibit pure cuteness.

Cool: a little more abstract than cute but I think we all have an innate sense of this. Just get in contact with your inner 8 year old boy. coolness is evoked by things that look like they can go very very fast. your charizards and rayquazas.

Beauty: less bound by kiki vs. bouba dynamics than cool and cute are, beauty is more about shininess and elegance. gardevoir is an obvious example of highly concentrated Beauty in a pokemon.

Monster: diving down now from the mundane world into the fantastical, we have the more, uh, hideous side of pokemon. monstery things are scary, repulsive, or otherwise foreign to the concepts of normal biology. most ghost types will likely be high in monsterness, for example.

Audacity: just imagine the level of audacity a gamefreak art director would have to have to put the rubber stamp of approval on Alolan Dugtrio.

I have a theory that all pokemon designs are made up of these five humors in varying amounts

Important Headcanons to Consider (Magnus)

Can they use chopsticks? He easily could but he likes to use those chopsticks with little rubber friends on the top of them

What would they impulse buy at the grocery store? Sweets. A worrying amount honestly. Gardevoir and Sylveon have to push him past that section

What’s their coffee order? I don’t know about coffee but he’s probably order Frappuccino

What order do they wash things in the shower?

What sort of apps would they have on their smartphone? You got games on your phone? He owns a lot of games but he honestly uses his google docs app the most to keep track of move combos

How do they act around children? Magnus adores kid. He likes to confuse them with magic

What would they watch on TV when they’re bored and nothing they really like is on? The Great British Bake off probably. Or maybe Hell’s Kitchen. He likes watching Americans get annoyed

*How do they sleep in bed? Magnus sleeps fully underneath the blankets while hugging a pillow

I mean, I can give examples of things I’ve learned. The Gardevoir line is not as intelligent as people make them out to be, Eevee genetics can become more unstable if they’re around Ditto because Eevee copy their environments, baby Skarmory feel like rubber and don’t hurt if they peck at you, Buneary need to be carried away by either something amorphous or by a psychic type carrying them in the air if you don’t want them kicking you because they hatch full of rage, Grimer don’t “hatch” and instead their bodies dissolve their eggs, there are a lot of little things you learn!

Pokémon breeding, huh? What shinies you got? And, how's breeding, anyways? I never really asked anybody, but now that I have the chance, I'm curious.

Oh boy. I’ve gotten so many shinies over the years for clients. I don’t think I could list them all, but, I can tell you that my Quagsire is my first one. :-]

Breeding is a really rewarding job! It can get overwhelming, with the amount of eggs I might hatch if the client is looking for a shiny Pokémon, but that’s why I have a crew. I love seeing the Pokémon I hatch grow over the years with my clients, and it’s given me a lot of insight into tons of different Pokémon. You’ve got to learn a lot to really get into it!

WIGGLYTUFF - can and should be hugged, and in the case of one specific one, it feels fitting that it’s very cute and friendly and Very Strong

SNUBBULL -  Its desperate attempts to appear threatening make it popular with people.

If there was one thing about the ends of the wild where humanity lacked and Pokemon reigned, it’s the concept of adapting. By now he holds such a keen scene for adventuring in this highly dangerous world that overtime, Gold saw the endless bid for resources constantly being one annoying challenge in his side.

From materials required to traverse the riskier terrains to the endless need for recovery items/other trinkets, this caused Gold to pack thoughtfully and even devise special items he carries for his travels. While likely nothing new in long term, there’s a sense of pride of finding methods to self-sustain with his partner Pokemon. For a change that one-track mind that typically got him in trouble, found a method of producing some incredible results once he got dedicated enough to carry an idea through.

- Typhlosion cloak: Typhlosion are known and prided not just their fierce temperaments in battle alongside of their explosive fire techniques. Their fur is also hailed to be highly heat resistant and also nonflammable in nature. So why just let all the excess fur go to waste when Explotaro needs his haircuts? A lot of the excess fur was taken to a tailor in order to settle up a personally made cloak for Gold.

This makes traversing more heat drenched terrain leagues more durable alongside of the opposite. While it’s nowhere near as effective as having Explotaro by his side, the cloak itself naturally retains a certain degree of heat, meaning he can stash and reel it out in order to bundle up some excess warmth on himself.

- Life Dew Drinks: This particular item hadn’t come into play since Timpani and Lalatina (Gardevoir and Tsareena respectively) joined the ranks of their wild family. While naturally having the means to defend herself, Timpani came to discover that in stressful times and in her wish to assist her new family, she personally developed abilities that rounded up to the team healer of the group. One in particular, Life Dew, drew the healing energies from nature itself into the form of water. After being rescued by the use of this one day, it caused Gold to extensively study into this.

The water never lost it’s potency over time or find itself diluted. It easily convinced Gold to help nature her craft in being able to not have the technique be such an exhausting or extensive process. What was formed was an incredibly potent healing item they bottled up for their journeys, being a miracle worker for team and the aches, pains or injuries sustained. It also held a revitalizing effect whether it was seeped onto an injury or consumed. When blessed by the Healing Wish technique, it only amplified it’s effects to where they’d dedicated days throwing potions to the wayside and ensuring they held an abundance of this on the go. Timpani and Gold came to discovery that areas that held high vegetation such as forest could summon high amounts thanks to their water veins.

Aromatherapy Dew Spray: This whole deal got Gold interested in taking this medical route of moves a step further. Visiting some professional herbalist known around Johto with these ideas, another aspect was driven forth to assist healing in critical moments. Aromatherapy itself was a move of Lalatina’s that healed specifics but never healed fully. Paralysis, burning, being frozen entirely and serving as a powerful anti-agent against lethal poisons, her increased mastery over this move had torn them away from some real sticky situations.

Making orders to have it combined with the Life Dew water introduced a non-consumable spray that knocks out two birds with one stone. While unable to be tided along with the Healing Wish as it’d destroy the composition, the two lone moves themselves managed to meld themselves together, forming a quick healing that even rids of charred skin and drew life back into frostbitten nerves. Given the cans to have pressurize them up into sprays, these are the healing items that can be common found on him in bulk.

Stun Baton Pool cue: This was a natural upgrade that was long since coming for Gold. Insulated with a rubber handle (alongside the electrical proof gloves) he dons, this is a personal weapon that’s both retractable for easy storage and used for self-defense. Usually having Pibu handle the need of keeping it charged with electricity, it’s simple a baton that’s use to incapacitate either humans or wild Pokemon that sneakily wedge through defenses. Though with it being made of a entirely new construct, his old wooden pool cue is just used for instances where he require luck in launching Pokemon or time spent in the Game Corner.

Ok this one was also pretty fun to come up with. I wanted to make the playlist mostly around Fool. Downward Spiral can represent her on maybe one of her bad episodes and Sick Sick Sick can be the danger around her. Kids See Ghosts is a whole album about and made by people that are bipolar and have depression, so naturally, a song should fit there. Also, it has the chorus Kids See Ghosts which can mean false visions or how one can cope as a child. Everything She Does is Magic could capture that, despite how initially unintimidating she is, there is something unnerving when you pay attention. Knife Party is there because she has a knife.

This one I knew immediately I wanted to go with Geist’s on hang ups on his past. Garden Shed and WASTE both deal with the angst he dealt with being alive, both as being a lowly thief and being rejected for being gay. You’re My Best Friend and Take Care are optimistic, regarding how he has come to accept himself better and finding good influences such as Eddy. Thief is more of a mood song, with a title about his old occupation.

I wanted tracks that would get the feeling of going through a desert on your own, with no one else but people you are wary of. Where This Flower Blooms relate to Celosia, just being an elegant song about someone who is not traditionally masculine and owns up to it. Also because Celosia is a grass type. Inchworm is like interacting with Ravenger, at first intimidating but winds up sounding goofy by the end.

Bluesky is meant to be straight optimistic with Leilani being a sweet child. Circles and Step Outside are meant to be more representative of Kass, someone who is antagonist and enjoys a fight.

This was one that I had a blast with and one I had in my head for a while. Bottomless Pitt and HEAT both have the energy of what it feels like being in Jake’s presence: it is stress inducing with Jake threatening you in some capacity. TABOO does sort of handle in how the siblings handle all of their sexual relationships with everyone involved. Bad Boyfriend does highlight how really warped and fucked up Sara and Jake’s relationship are. Misfit Love, however, could best describe the whole cast, fucked up but with varying degrees of comradery.

Since this one was for a specific character this was a bit tougher, but I still think I managed to make a decent list. Glass House deals with how Isis was raised by her mom, in an abusive cult-like household. Can You Forgvie Her and Rattlesnake deal with the uncertainty about leaving her mom in terms of learning about what her mom withheld from her. Bergschrund is what I would see as her fight theme, very distorted but sharp. Don’t Speak deals with Rosie and Honey’s romantic relationship deteriorating and how it pains the both of them

In Your Honor is for Cannelle’s relationship with Lenox and how close they have become. The tricot song was just more of a mood piece because I want to rep tricot.
